THE COMMON ROOTS OF MODERN HEALTH ISSUES
Click on the ones affecting you to find out more...
Our descent from able bodied explorers, settlers, pioneers and warriors
to those riddled with chronic disease has taken just 3 generations.

WRONG DIET
A Low Fat/High Carb grain based diet
promotes insulin resistance which has been shown to be one of the root causes leading to the development of many inflammatory conditions. These include high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, fatty liver disease and hormone imbalance.
Changing diet makes all the difference!

DEFICIENCIES
The most common deficiencies that develop
from our modern grain based diets are Vitamins A, D, B6, B12, K, Zinc, Magnesium, Iodine, Selenium, Sulphur and Iron.
This is due mostly to a lack of quality animal products, soil nutrient depletion from unsustainable monoculture farming and poor digestive function.

Digestive disorders usually do not develop on their own without a common root cause. Low stomach acid, has been shown to be a problem for up to 60% of the population. Low stomach acid levels affect pancreatic enzymes, liver function, bile secretion and gallbladder function, nutrient absorption, intestinal pH, permeability and the right balance of the probiotic populations.
POOR DIGESTION

We are the first generation in 200 years to have shorter life expectancy than our parents.
When a population's health declines this fast, it cannot simply be blamed on "genetics",
but diet and environmental factors need to be explored.

Studies have shown that the minimum amount of sleep needed on a regular basis in order to maintain health for most people is approx. 7-9 hours per night. Anything less than this raise stress levels and inflammation as well as increased hunger, weight gain and neurological dysfunction. It also results in less melatonin secretion which helps the immune system and protects against cancer.

Stress raises cortisol and adrenalin levels which in turn decrease immune function and digestion. Stress raises blood sugar levels which can lead to inflammation and insulin resistance. It also causes other serious hormonal and neurological chemical changes which are detrimental longterm.
Learning to reduce and manage stress is a vital part of any health program.
